Video Camera Shooting Assignment #1

Steps:

  1. Set up your tripod and camera so the camera is about the same height as the students in your group.
  2. Turn the camera on and put a tape in the camera.
  3. Make sure it is in CAMERA Mode so you can record. Not VCR or VTR mode.
  4. Use the Zoom on the camera and set the lens to a Extreme Wide Shot. (Mr. Wickham will demonstrate this).
  5. Record each student individuallly in your group saying the following:
  6. "My name is _________________ and my favorite TV show is ______________."
  7. Pause the camera between each students recordings.
  8. Play back your tape by swictching the camera to VCR or VTR mode. Do this only when you're finished with recording all of the students in your group.
  9. When you finish, talk quitely among your group about what you learned today in class.
